I just finished Evolutions and overall I was really impressed.

By far my favorite story was "The impossible life and possible death of Preston J Cole".  This story gave some great back story on the pre-Convenant Human universe.  Also it was nice to see that the Human forces made the Covenant bleed for every world that they destroyed.

On the flip side I didn't really enjoy "Human Weakness" or "The Mona Lisa".  Both of these story's in my opinion were boring and ran too long.   (Honestly I have been a pretty vocal Flood critic over the last couple of months so you can take my opinion with a grain of salt.  Since both of these story's were about the Flood I might not be an unbiased reviewer.)

I'm still trying to understand the whole point of this book. I've had someone tell me it's a collection of the first 4 halo comic books that came out and that didn't sound right to me.

Does Halo Evolutions have all new stories?

That would be the Halo Graphic Novel, which is a collection of different Halo comics. This is a collection of short stories, which if you have not read them would be considered new.

No, I think you are confused by what I said. XD The graphic novel came out long before the Halo comic books created by Marvel. Someone told me that the Halo comic books (the first 4) where all placed together as one book and that is what Halo Evolutions is about.

I already know that the graphic novel has some little comic skits in it.....I have 2 of them. Tongue

Apparently there was a animated trailer for The Mona Lisa at the 343 Industries SDCC panel. I tried looking through their panel but couldn't find it, if anyone saw it was it good? The Mona Lisa is probably one of my favorite short stories from Evolutions.

I'm finally getting around to reading this.  I'm over 300 pages into it and I like every story so far except the one about Soren.  I'm almost done with the Mona Lisa....  So far, cool Sci-Fi horror!  Wink
