I was at my Target this morning. The whole isle where Halo is displayed was undergoing a re-set including all the Star Wars stuff. They don't have anything out yet except the Reach 4-Pack.

The Spawn picture page on the Reach 4-Pack says that it will be available at Target, Walmart, and K-mart.

Has anyone seen it anywhere other than Target?

Nothing here in southeastern Virginia. Looked in a few WalMarts, nothing. Target x2 negative so far. Haven't hit the TRUs yet.

I hit Target after work today and they had both the exclusive box set and the red vs. blue two pack on the shelf.

I hate to say it but I may not be getting the box set.  The paint application on every box set they had was terrible .  The worst had to be Emile.  The skull on his EVA helmet was little more than a white blob.

On a positive note the red vs. blue set is awesome!  McFarlane's official pictures did not do this set any justice.  This set has a nice sculpt and the paint is great.  The metallic weathering on the armor almost looks real.

Yep, that is what I saw with the 4-Packs I looked at. The paint job on Emile was hideous!

The Emile that I have does not have a great paintjob on his helmet either.  One thing I noticed after I bought my Reach set of four was that jorge's visor seemed to lack the gold color towards the middle as it seemed to fade into more of a metal silverish color.  I would def keep an eye out on the jorge figure and make sure his visor has a good all around paint job as well.

Gwaihir, Where do you live in Virginia by the way?  I just moved back up here from the Hampton Roads area.

Theta a sizeable cardboard insert that takes up half of the box. Pretty silly to waste so much space just to reserve some shelf for the warthog.

Could this be the same technique as the Noble 7 figure. That visor is Gold around the edges, but fades to silver in the middle. It changes slightly as you look at it from different angles. This may be the way all of the Reach figure visors are being done.

Collectorate now that you mention it, I have noticed that my blue noble 7 has a little bit of a fade but my green noble 7 has a gold visor all the way around.  I am starting to believe that you are right about the fade as I noticed that other jorge's also have the same consistent fade that looks to be intentional.  This line is proving to be much different in the detail from the halo 3 figs than I thought.

Welcome to the forum, Coot.  And thanks for the info as well.  I'll be making a few phone calls to Target and get shopping.  I see a Toledo seller on ebay has one for sale.  Smiley

Viking thanks for the greeting.  I have found these sets to not be as rare as you might think.  I would def do a good check around your area before taking it to ebay.

I think he meant that he's near Toledo, so it's a sign he can hunt for one himself.

I picked this set up Friday evening along with the Spartan 2-pack.  Emile can't hold his shotgun or sheath his knife.

Everything else was pretty nice.

Correct.  If no luck there, I'll once again turn to "The C."   Wink

I talked this over with some people and it's necessary.  Target can be extremely anal about thingsl ike this and it sounds like they needed something ASAP in order to include this in their planograms and keep the amount of space they intended to dedicate to the Hog.

Otherwise, they probably wouldn't have carried the Hog.
